AllDrupalThemes is now Sooperthemes!

After some struggling to properly get this complex multisite properly moved and rebranded the transformation has finally completed. If you have any links pointing to the old domain name, I would be thankful if you could update them to sooperthemes.com. All old url's are cloned to the new site.

Why a new name?

1. The old name sucked, I created this site 3 years ago as a hobby project and chose a white label name that was helpful in getting high search engine rankings. I think the current name reflects my carefree informal style while still symbolizing the "super" quality of the themes. It's also in line with the cool hip technology branding style like google, drupal, joomla, etc.
2. Now more than a year ago Drupal has become a registered trademark. Dries and others have made it clear that domain names with Drupal in them are unwanted. For the record, I was not forced or asked to change domain name, even though I know Drupal's (ex?-)trademark protector Bert Boerland personally such an appeal was never made

The Future

As I'm finishing up my master degree at Erasmus university, I will have more time to do Drupal stuff and I'm planning to get more involved in open source projects. For sure I will be releasing the new dropdown menu jQuery plugin (See previous blog posts) and I'm also thinking about developing some awesome full-featured GPL themes for Drupal, in cooperation with the community. I'm not sure how that will work but I'll think about it while writing my thesis. I will also keep improving and expanding the line of premium drupal themes and I will have to work it real hard as the incumbent drupal theme shops are now facing competition from several large Joomla and Worpress theme shops. Their quality is still lacking the Drupal finesse but they have experience and manpower so I expect them to become strong competitors.
