Check these requirements before you install DXPR Builder.

## Drupal version

DXPR Builder 3.x requires Drupal 10.2 or later, including Drupal 11. Earlier Drupal versions are not supported.

## PHP version

Use the PHP version your Drupal core needs: PHP 8.1 or later for Drupal 10, PHP 8.3 or later for Drupal 11. DXPR Builder needs no PHP extensions beyond those Drupal core requires.

## Required Drupal modules

DXPR Builder depends on these modules. Drush enables them with DXPR Builder; the **Extend** page asks you to confirm first.

- **Field** and **Field UI**: the field that holds builder content and its display settings
- **Views**: the **Drupal Views** tab of the element picker
- **Image**: image styles for images in your pages
- **Block**: Drupal block placement, such as the licence information block on the **People** page
- **Key**: storage for the product key. It is a contributed module; Composer downloads it with DXPR Builder

## Browser compatibility

The editor supports the last two versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari and Opera. On phones and tablets it supports the last two versions of Chrome and Firefox for Android, Safari on iOS and Samsung Internet. Internet Explorer is not supported.

## Network access

DXPR Builder contacts DXPR over HTTPS:

- The Drupal server reaches `dxpr.com` for licence checks.
- Editors' browsers load the editor from `cdn2.dxpr.com`, with `cdn.dxpr.com` as the fallback.

Visitors never load anything from DXPR. [Firewall and data residency](/hc/documentation/learn-dxpr-builder/getting-started/behind-a-firewall) lists every connection.

## Optional modules

Install these modules for extra features:

| Module | What it adds |
|---|---|
| [AI](https://www.drupal.org/project/ai) | Provider-agnostic AI API |
| [DXPR AI Provider](https://www.drupal.org/project/ai_provider_dxpr) | The DXAI Kavya models with provider failover, paid with DXPR AI credits |
| [Reinforcement Learning](https://www.drupal.org/project/rl) | A/B testing for DXPR Builder elements |
